C-ROS project has been in operation since 2018. We have set up and transferred technology based on Bio-VIS for production of biogas and biofertilizer from food waste (Capacity of 200 litres per day) in Nan province. Our technology has been used as part of the campaign to promote waste segregation and the use of alternative and sustainable energy at the community level. The C-ROS team has installed food waste bioconversion systems at 3 sites in Nan province: Mahaphot community, Aranyawas Monastery and Chumpeewanidaporn School. These systems have been producing methane yield as high as 70-80%. The biogas produced is being used in heating and cooking by the communities. In addition, biofertilizer produced by C-ROS is well appreciated by the local people. Locals who participate in zero and segregation of waste program receive Bio-VIS biofertilizer in exchange for their waste contribution.
